President and CEO – Brad Procter (B.Comm., J.D.)
Brad’s focus at Deep Cove is on rental building acquisition, raising capital, debt financing, investor relations, strategy, legal oversight, accounting, and overseeing NOI growth.
Prior to focusing on the acquisition and management of rental apartment buildings in Victoria, Brad was the Vice President and Co-Founder of Highstreet Ventures Inc., a multi-family residential developer, focused on the development of rental apartment buildings, condominiums, and townhomes in Western Canada. Brad’s focus at Highstreet was on development strategy, development management, city and product selection, land acquisition, investment structure, debt financing, marketing, sales, sales disclosure, customer service, legal oversight, and property management. From 2010 – 2013, during Brad’s tenure as one of the two executives at Highstreet, Highstreet raised $35,000,000 in equity for the development of over 550 rental apartment units, 250 condominium apartments, and 30 townhomes in Airdrie, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, St. Albert, and Yellowknife. Brad also led a sales team that sold over $65,000,000 in real estate in Yellowknife and Fort McMurray during his tenure.
Prior to entering real estate, Brad practised law on Bay street in Toronto as a corporate litigator at Baker & Mckenzie, the world’s largest law firm. Brad also clerked for Justice Brian Malone of the Federal Court of Appeal in Ottawa, and worked as a field accountant at KPMG in Victoria. Brad has a Commerce degree and a Law degree from the University of Victoria, and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
Brad is also the VP, Finance and Legal, for Arwel Living and Archibald Builder Group, the Executive Director of the Gorge Waterway Action Society (GWAS), a director of the South Island Disc Golf Society (SIDGS), and a director of the BC Climate Alliance. Arwel Living and Archibald Builder Group are a developer and builder of rental apartment buildings in Regina, Saskatchewan. GWAS is a registered charity dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of the Gorge Waterway in Victoria, British Columbia. SIDGS is a not for profit organization that promotes the sport of disc golf and supports the creation of new disc golf courses on Southern Vancouver Island. The BC Climate Alliance is a non-partisan, non-profit advocacy organization working to create the political will for just, effective and sustainable provincial climate policies in BC.
Vice President – David Procter (ARM)
David’s focus at Deep Cove is property management, repairs and maintenance, and capital improvement programs.
Prior to Deep Cove, David was a project manager at Highstreet, where his focus was on property management, development management, land acquisition, marketing, sales, and customer service.
Prior to Highstreet, Dave spent 4 years in the repair, maintenance and renovation of residential and commercial real estate.
David is an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) with the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC).
David is also a former member of the Shawnigan Lake Trails Committee, and is the former Alternate Director for the Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) and is a former member of the Parks Commission for Area B Shawnigan Lake.
